Madison Poet to Read from Her “Conversations With Thoreau”

Madison poet Alice D’Alessio will read from her latest book, Conversations With Thoreau, at a reading and reception at the UW Arboretum McKay Center, on Sunday, October 7 from 1 to 3 pm.  The reading will be held in conjunction with an exhibit of photographs and poetry at the McKay Center entitled For the Love of the Land: Shoreline, Savanna and Sand Counties.  The photographs by Bobbie Krinsky, Madison photographer,  feature a selection of Wisconsin landscapes as they are altered by human activity.   The exhibit runs from September 4 to October 30.  The UW Arboretum is located on Madison’s west side, off Seminole Highway, just north of the Beltline Highway – 18/151.
