“Meet Me Halfway” Tackles Segregated Milwaukee

Mark your calendars for Friday, April 17. That’s the date for the launch of Jennifer Morales’ Meet Me Halfway: Milwaukee Stories, published by the University of Wisconsin Press. The place and time is Boswell Book Company in Milwaukee — 2559 N. Downer Avenue — at 7 p.m.

Meet Me Halfway tells stories of connections in a community with a tumultuous and divided past,”  the UW Press said in announcing the book’s publication. “In nine stories told from diverse perspectives, Jennifer Morales captures a Rust Belt city’s struggle to establish a common ground and a collective vision of the future.”

Here’s a link to the UW Press announcement about Morales’s book.

Morales serves on the Council for Wisconsin Writers board of directors. Read more about her at http://www.wiswriters.org/morales.htm.
